Originally from Peoria, IL, I began my professional journey in St. Louis, where I graduated from Saint Louis University in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Minor in Visual Communication. My background has helped me cultivate a versatile skill set, enabling me to approach projects creatively while understanding the strategic foundations of branding, layout, and messaging.
Since graduating, I’ve expanded my experience through roles that allowed me to create impactful designs, plan strategic marketing initiatives, and drive engagement across digital platforms. My experience includes designing logos, posters, and websites, planning and managing social content, optimizing web pages, developing email campaigns, crafting press releases, and more. Each role has deepened my expertise and strengthened my adaptability in a fast-paced industry.
Outside of marketing, I am passionate about traveling, trying new foods, and learning new things. I also love spending time with my family, friends and pets.
I'm often asked why I named my portfolio page "kaitlynography" instead of something like "Creations by Kaitlyn" or "Kaitlyn's Portfolio." My goal was to create a distinct personal brand that feels cohesive and memorable. "Kaitlynography" not only establishes that all content is my own but also flows as one word, giving it a unique identity.
When brainstorming a name, I was drawn to the meaning behind words. In etymology, "-ography" signifies "the recording of," often associated with methods like typography or photography. For me, "Kaitlynography" represents a creative recording of my work, encompassing everything from design to branding and beyond—a personal stamp that says, "crafted by Kaitlyn."
